SUNY Cobleskill Ag-Tech Hub
In October 2007, SUNY Cobleskill completed its campus master plan and recommended a series of projects that would result in an Agricultural Science and Technology Center. In 2009, Two Twelve collaborated with Ennead Architects, formerly Polshek Partnership Architects, on the new Agricultural Science and Technology Center, or “Ag-Tech Hub” for the State University College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill. This project consolidates the agricultural programs that were housed in multiple buildings in diverse areas of the campus into one space where they operate more efficiently and promote collaboration with associated programs. The new 86,000 gsf, high tech center modernizes and combines multiple agricultural departments and provides gathering spaces for SUNY Cobleskill’s students.
Two Twelve developed the environmental graphic design program to complement the architectural details. The architectural corrugated metal panels on the building facade lends to inspiration for the exterior identification for the building. And within the interior, the cohesive set of clear, legible signage identifies and directs to interior classrooms, lounges, offices, and other unique spaces in the school. The signs provide students, faculty, staff, and visitors the information they need to easily navigate their way in the Ag-Tech Hub and embody the SUNY Cobleskill brand.
