Leonard and Claire Tow Center for the Performing Arts
The Leonard & Claire Tow Center for the Performing Arts at CUNY’s Brooklyn College opened in August 2018, bringing a state-of-the-art academic theater with rehearsal and performance spaces to the College. The facilities heighten the prestige of the College’s Conservatory of Music and the Department of Theater, providing spacious and contemporary amenities at a major new gateway to campus.
Pfeiffer Partners, an architectural firm recognized widely for their imaginative cultural institution designs originally engaged Two Twelve to develop large scale signage for the entrance as well as interior wayfinding directionals. During the process, the Project team also identified the need for a donor recognition strategy, inviting Two Twelve to expand upon our initial scope of work to design thoughtful acknowledgment of the Center’s benefactors.
The building is the first LEED-certified, sustainable building on the Brooklyn College campus.
