Andy Ng, Creative Director
Associate Creative Director Andy Ng brings a global perspective to his work, having been born in Canada and brought up in Hong Kong before moving to the United States for college. During adolescence, art and design were important elements of Andy's early education, where he participated in after-school drawing studios as well as design- and construction-type classes in secondary school. These courses inspired him to pursue the creative field of graphic design at Boston University, then earning a Bachelor of Graphic Design degree at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).
His graphic design career began in Boston and Hong Kong, where he worked at several multidisciplinary firms assisting in the production of branding, print, packaging, and web design projects. His calling to pursue experiential graphic design was sparked during an Exhibit Design elective in college, eventually leading him to Two Twelve. Andy joined the firm in 2006 as a Designer and has since grown with the company, developing as a Senior Designer and now Associate Creative Director. During his 13 years at Two Twelve, he has demonstrated great initiative in managing the complexities of large-scale projects, collaborating with clients, other stakeholders, and his design colleagues to conceive and detail designs that define a space and make it easy to navigate.
Andy's work has contributed to thoughtful user-centric designs that help guide New Yorkers and visitors at a number of prominent city institutions, including Citi Field, LaGuardia International Airport, Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater, the Long Island Rail Road's Jamaica Station, New York City Center, and The Shops at Columbus Circle. In the city that never sleeps, he enjoys creating design solutions that have an enduring and positive impact on all who encounter them, day or night.
Beyond NYC, his expertise in complex wayfinding systems is continually improving the patient experience at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and SUNY Downstate Medical Center; resident and tourist navigation at the Dubai Mall Parking Garage and in cities such as Charlotte, North Carolina and Richmond, Virginia; as well as student and visitor engagement at Princeton University, Rhode Island School of Design's Chace Center, and the University of Connecticut. Andy's project portfolio benefits from his detail-oriented and meticulous approach to the design process and his in-depth understanding of the intersection of architecture and communications within experiential graphic design. He is also an active member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD).
Outside of work, Andy enjoys traveling abroad to learn and experience foreign cultures, particularly through the lens of the culinary arts. Here in the city, he is often on the lookout for the next opening of a bakery and pastry shop in search of the best viennoiserie.
