This luminous glass-clad building straddles the ventilation tubes of the Lincoln Tunnel along the Hudson River. Architects William Nicholas Bodouva + Associates called upon us to develop signage encompassing the transit schedule, ferry slips, bus stops, and public amenities. Two Twelve’s work facilitates this flow of pedestrian traffic by providing clear, simple cues to the location of ferry slips, connecting bus stops, and public amenities. The permanent signage designs communicate clearly and integrate seamlessly with the architecture, while a subtle pinwheel detail provides a visual theme in lieu of operator branding.
