Restaurant Grades
The New York City Department of Health needed an effective way to communicate its new letter grades, which reflect inspection ratings for safety and sanitary conditions for the city’s 24,000 eating establishments. The grades, to be posted at the entrance of each restaurant, are intended to improve food-safety standards and reduce the risk of food-borne illness. Two Twelve designed simple letter-grade signage that is visible from a distance, uses colors that won’t fade over time, and accommodates the DoH’s in-house printing capabilities and processes.
