SI Newhouse School of Public Communications
The addition of the state-of-the-art Newhouse III building transformed the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University by increasing its research capacity, production capacity, and enhancing the academic experience for thousands of S.U. students. Two Twelve worked with Ennead Architects to define the new building and its space. Our job was to integrate navigation to and from the existing facilities, and to design the School’s signage and wayfinding systems that provides an easy navigation experience. Furthermore, Two Twelve helped resolve and realize the architect’s vision of the First Amendment text wrapping around the building to convey the look of a news ticker. Opened in the fall of 2007, Newhouse III is now a centerpiece of the S.I. Newhouse School, and the First Amendment graphic serves as inspiration not only to Newhouse students but the greater University community as well.
