Queens West Development Corporation
Queens West Development Corporation worked with Two Twelve to create a signage system for New York City's waterfront parks which were being formed out of the formerly abandoned industrial waterfront on the East River. Two Twelve, working in conjunction with landscape architects Thomas Balsley Associates and Sowinski Sullivan Architects, responded with a bold design that echoed the architecture of the park which extends the entire length of the community, situated just across the river from the United Nations. This award winning project included signage, maps, wayfinding information and interpretive narratives about the parks’ history, setting and neighborhood context.
